Happiness Found: Wanderlust Festival

Wanderlust

Last weekend I was fortunate enough to go to the Wanderlust Festival in Squaw Valley, CA. For those of you who don’t know, Wanderlust’s purpose is to create community around mindful living – yoga, the arts, personal spirituality, environmentalism, organics and conscious consumerism. There are lots of fun activities and sessions going on throughout the festival that I thoroughly enjoyed so while I won’t go into every little detail, here are 5 happy things that I experienced at Wanderlust:

1. The KIND Wall

#kindawesome

The snack company “KIND” had a wall of flowers and were handing them to people walking by. Their instructions were to pass on the flowers to other people at the event and “do the kind thing for your world”. They are definitely Happsters :).

2. The Amazing Sessions

Sessions ranged from Power Vinyasa Flow to the Four Phases of Meditation to Thai Massage + Chinese Medicine. I especially liked the self massage class that I took (life-changing!).

3. The Water Stations

Camelback

There was a major heat wave going on during the festival, so having water readily available was key. Camelback had water stations strategically placed around the venue where you could fill up your water bottle with filtered water for free!

4. The Intentions Board

Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day had an Intentions Board where anyone could pick up a piece of chalk and write their intentions. Of course I had to leave a little Happster love on there!

5. The Farm to Table Dinner

The Farm to Table dinner was so much fun. All of the food was produced within an 8 mile radius of the venue. They sat us with other diners so we could chat and get to know each other and even had the farmers who brought the food speak for a few minutes about it. On top of all of that, it was absolutely delicious! I want the recipes!

Have you ever attended Wanderlust or a festival like it? Would you consider going to one in the future? Let me know in the comments!
